A wool pile of asymmetric knots on a cotton foundation. A visual pair to rug #25004. The red field, with curtains drawn up, depicts a half-length Virgin crowned as Queen of Heaven, presenting the gesturing infant Jesus. Two female and two male bust-length figures appear in the corner squares. Twisted columns support the arch. A cochineal red main border with birds, grotesque masks, and foliage frames the composition.
