Wool pattern wefts in sumak technique on a wool foundation. This well-preserved half of a complete saddlebag set shows a polychrome field of diagonal narrow stripes in red, ecru, goldenrod, and darkest blue, each with small scattered geometric motifs. The main border is a bitonal ecru and abrashed red running wave reciprocal design. Intact, colorful closure strips remain, along with a wool plainweave back variously banded in beige, blue, red, teal, and near black.
