Antique Chinese Ningxia Room Size Carpet

A wool pile of asymmetric knots on a cotton foundation. In a 17th-century Ningxia Chinese style, the field is entirely and evenly covered by a lozenge lattice of small, serrated, and divided elements linked by short vertical and horizontal lines. The colors of the lozenges are randomly distributed, with no chromatic overpattern. The inner border shows a pale, tone-on-tone Greek key pattern, while the middle stripe features a more emphatic black-and-cream T-fret design.
