An antique Indian Lahore rug. Sometimes called a ‘Laristan’ in the trade, this north Indian carpet has an attractively variegated taupe field decorated by angular, isolated floral sprays, indicating an origin in the 1920’s or 30’s. The blue-black main border has a vine connecting numerous leaves and botehs with triangular vases in the corners making for elegant resolutions.
