Antique Persian Bakhtiari Carpet

This medium weave, cotton foundation village carpet from the Chahar Mahal weaving area of central Persia shows roughly barbed zigzags defining larger and slightly smaller reserves enclosing rosette – accented cruciform, all on the navy ground. Red border with upright colorful botehs, Medium rustic weave. Good condition. Informal, but disciplined drawing.
