Some Persian Gabbeh rugs are more colorful, as evidenced by this small antique rug in tons of soft red, royal blue, and orange, along with undyed ivory and brown. A pole medallion in two shades of red has been created from stepped lozenges and is framed by indigo corners and side pieces. This Gabbeh may have been woven for sale as much as for tribal use, but it is still authentic and unique.
