Antique Persian Khorassan Throw Rug

Although most Khorassan/Mashad weavings are room size, there are smaller scatters. This medium weave example shows a straw field with an offset, three column Herati design with especially prominent open diamonds. Slate border with barbed leaves. Urban, NE Persian origin. General, even wear. Fairly good condition.
