An antique Persian Kurdish rug. The dark chocolate field presents two and one half lozenge units with interior complex rosette and flower internal patterns. En suite designs occupy the side filler triangles. The pattern elements are irregularly positioned and the general effect is spacious. A narrow green stripe with a boteh chain is the most important border element on this Kurdistan rural scatter.
