An antique Persian Mahal carpet. The mixed grey to brown ground partially and fully abrashes in its support of the classic allover small scale Herati pattern in a popular west Persian kellegi format over size carpet. The sienna brown border displays turtle palmettes detailed in old gold, sky blue, green and ivory.
