An antique Persian Malayer carpet. This striking west Persian town kellegi displays a giant acanthus lozenge lattice design on a beige field. The individual reserves are centered by ivory rosettes or complex, pendanted cartouches. Yellow, green and dark brown are among the accent colors. The narrow brown-red main border features a tendril and erratic flower motif.
