A wool pile of symmetric knots on a wool foundation. Now lacking its side borders, this exceptionally long tribal kenareh, or runner, displays a dense “cane” pattern of identically decorated narrow vertical stripes in deep burgundy-red and ecru. Several end borders remain, including wider red main bands featuring rosettes and botehs in ivory, pale blue, dark blue, and muted green. Near-black minor borders with geometric details frame the ends, while a black-and-ecru finishing border of small squares completes the design.
