An antique Persian Shiraz rug. Chickens and leaf lozenges fill the three stepped chocolate diamonds of the central pole medallion of this southwest Persian Khamseh tribal scatter. The surrounding light graphite field shows more chickens along with small octagons and flowers. The blue-grey main border features a bipartite fat angular segmented meander.
