An antique Persian Tabriz Hagi Jalili rug. Sandy beige extended corners and en suite scalloped elliptical medallion with pendants and leafy branches define the saturated, blood red slightly pinched field while a navy main border of long acanthus leaves and rosettes makes an effective frame. This ruglet originates around 1900, in the desirable ‘Hajji Jalili’ era of Tabriz weaving.
