Antique Turkish Oushak Carpet

An antique Turkish Oushak carpet. Leaves, leaves everywhere, but few flowers, on the lightest tan ground of this centrally organized western Turkish workshop rug. The  brown-accented leaves faintly resemble acanthus and are very well spaced out, all the better to appreciate their elastic and springy characters. The spaciousness gives a feeling of a larger carpet and it also increases the size of the room.
