Antique Turkish Oushak Rug

An antique Turkish Oushak rug. The unusual spruce green tonality pervades both field and border. The main border is sparse toward the field and piles up in design density toward the plain outer guard. The field is very spaciously drawn, with bent vine sections and quasi-vegetal shapes floating about. A very attractive carpet from western Turkey.
