Antique Turkish Sivas Carpet

The golden beige field of this eastern Turkish town carpet shows a floating semi-cruciform medallion with an interesting assortment of pendants and set in quarter medallion corners with inward projecting cypresses. Sinuous vine segments run along the sides of the field. A spaciously drawn main border with palmettes and leaves.
