A Persian Tabriz Modernist carpet. Quarter arcs, chessboards, right angle sections, eccentric circles, sawtooth strips. This rug has all of these and more in shades of ivory, brown camel-beige and various blues. The pattern is totally asymmetric and non-figural. Of course, furniture placement cannot be dictated, or even suggested, by the play of pattern. The look is beyond Art Deco, more to the period after 1970.
