Vintage American Round Oval Braided Room Size Carpet

Rags braided and sewn into an oval carpet. While many oval rag rugs create a mobile whirlpool effect, this piece features a more solid, concentric elliptical layout with wide multi-strand bands in yellow/tangerine and red/green, alternating throughout. Although a few endpoints of the braided rag sections are visible, the overall result is remarkably smooth, with no obvious start or stop points.
