Vintage Central Asian Bokhara Large Room Size Carpet

This exceptionally large, northern Afghan piece shows four columns of large, quartered, closely set guls on a scarlet field, with borders including one of color diagonals of stepped lozenges and another with X-patterns, both on red. All wool construction, moderate/coarse weave. Exceptional size for a Turkmen tribal carpet. Good condition with a somewhat restricted palette employing no ivory tones.
