A vintage East Turkestan Khotan rug. This Xinjiang Province scatters displays a square three by five rust toned grid patterns on a tan ground with blue-grey rondels, open discs and octagons-in-crosses in alternating cells, with small, fret-like corners in the Chinese manner. The slate to light blue-grey border shows lozenges and semi-round figures.
