A vintage Indian Lahore carpet. The well-abrashed slate ground displays five rows of mustard quatrefoils separated by curlicue motives. The rose-to-salmon main border has an interesting pattern of in-and-out hooked arrowheads.  This is an unusual carpet from the late 1930s - 1940s period with clear Art Deco overtones.
