Her form is accentuated and bound by strapwork. The ivory arch in which she stands features deer, peacocks, other birds, as well as bushes and flowers. The red spandrels are decorated with rosettes, and the near-black border displays pairs of birds and floral elements. The female figure may evoke Kali or Durga, though these figures are typically depicted without wings in Indian mythology.
