Vintage Persian Afshar Accent Rug

A wool pile of asymmetric knots on a cotton foundation. The field is triply layered, with pale blue over bone over pale blue, and finished at each end with triple-pointed arrowhead finials. Three bone diamonds with central floral cruciforms run down the center. The widest of the five borders occupies the center and displays star motifs. A generally soft tonality envelops the entire piece.
