A vintage Persian Gabbeh rug. This south Persian tribal long rug has a plain, undyed deep beige field framed by a dark brown and ecru chessboard main stripe, and camel and brown triangle guards. Gabbehs were woven for the domestic use of the nomadic Qashghai tribes folk and only recently have they become available to rug collectors and designers worldwide.
