Boldly dated 1367 (circa 1948) this totally modern, abstract high-pile tribal Qashqai rug displays an ivory and straw yellow square within a crimson red field framed by plain black, ivory, and mid-blue lines. Interestingly, nothing this abstract was being done in Western art at the time. The tribal weavers were decades ahead of modern art trends. This is a highly collectible and substantiated authentic antique tribal rug.
