A vintage Persian Hamadan rug. The attractively abrashed, stepped royal blue corners set off the cardinal red field with its small allover three columns, staggered Herati pattern detailed in green, rust and straw. The dark brown main border borrows and simplifies a Caucasian design of serrated slanted leaves alternating with bare stems.
