Vintage Persian Joshegan Rug

A vintage Persian Joshegan rug. We have the largest collection of Joshegan scatters outside of Persia and this is a completely characteristic example with a pale straw ground displaying the classic floral lozenge array pattern with a stepped, nested medallion set over it. The pale blue-grey corners are entirely en suite with the rest of the pattern and the dark brown border shows the classic palmette and oblique cartouche tendril.
