A vintage Persian Kerman carpet. The rigid linear border has been banished entirely, and the mainframe now consists of foliate hillocks with a second, inner frame of a rectangular flower garland.  The old ivory field of this SE Persian city large carpet displays a more open garland around the central small pendant medallion. Light blue, teal, pistachio, light green, rose and buff detail the composition.
