Vintage Persian Lilihan Rug

A vintage Persian Lilihan rug. Older Lilihans take their designs from “American” style Sarouks with their detached flower spray patterns, usually around a small central motif. This interesting example follows that protocol, but on yellow ivory rather than red or dark blue. The border on two sides has a sienna brown ground, but on the others, it matches the field tone.
