Vintage Persian Malayer Carpet

A vintage Persian Malayer carpet. This is a relatively unusual rendition of the Herati design, somewhat more geometric with the channels connecting the lozenges particularly salient. The kilim pattern inner field surround with yellow-camel triangles is a novel feature. The ivory border with its grape bunch botehs on a swinging side-to-side vine descends from Saraband originals.
