A vintage Persian Malayer rug. The dramatic striations of the abrashed light blue-grey to dark slate reach acros into the side borders. The almost-Herati pattern features fringed diamonds, leaves, arrows, minute botehs and red accents. Botehs and ‘beehive’ palmettes adorn the main border of this west Persian village scatter.
