Vintage Persian Malayer Rug

A vintage Persian Malayer rug. Two dark brown popsicle ragged palmettes accent the straw border which, in turn, is set over the pale blue-grey field with a textile pattern of six and one-half rows of rightward-facing botehs with narrow dark brown outlines. The border is more often seen on other west Persian rustic Malayer scatters such as our rug # 26892 with a distinct pattern.
