A vintage Persian Malayer rug. Straight diagonal stems from a lozenge trellis of jagged, bent leaves, squares, oblique leaf-palmettes and symmetric ragged palmettes on the pleasantly abrashed light denim, somewhat receding ground.  There are a few dark brown field accents, but the visually advancing main border of popsicle palmettes employs the umber more lavishly on this west Persian village scatter.
