A wool pile of symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. This semi-geometric repeating pattern is one of the most popular Malayer designs, appearing on both scatters and, as here, on runners. The oatmeal field features stars, lozenges, hexagons, octagons, bent and serrated leaves, and small fringed motifs. The straw strip-style border displays fringed, pyramidal palmettes.
