Vintage Persian Tabriz Carpet

This finely knotted Tabriz is a study in precise, small-scale ornamentation. The pendanted ogival medallion and triangular layered corners all display a pattern identical to the field. The pattern is so close that the actual ground tone is almost totally concealed. Things open up slightly in the turtle palmette border.
