A vintage Persian Tabriz carpet. The sandy field of this finely woven Tabriz city carpet displays a wide variety of styles and sizes of palmettes, all dynamically flowing out from a small floral center. The light brown main border frames two additional types of palmettes with emphatic dark forked arabesques. The field pattern is extremely well balanced in all directions.
