Wool pattern warps and wefts in a warp- and weft-faced plainweave. This large piece, with pronounced twill and herringbone detail, shows a bold, offset tartan plaid pattern with divided ecru horizontals. The near-black bands are attached to adjacent light ones, creating heightened contrast. Extra-large scale suggests abundant pillow potential. Originally part of a band approximately 27 feet long. Qashghai weaving, suitable as a bold wall hanging or rustic upholstery.
