Vintage Persian Textile

Wool pattern warps and wefts in a warp- and weft-faced plainweave. With only slight offsetting across the customary four panels, this piece displays a limited red and near-black palette with twill and herringbone color mixing, creating a lumberjack plaid effect. Ideal as a North Woods–style bedspread, blanket, pillow covering, or wall hanging to keep out drafts. Qashghai work.
