Wool pattern warps and wefts on a warp- and weft-faced plainweave. The dramatic, slightly offset divided ecru horizontal bars are strung on a central, similarly divided ecru column. Secondary red and navy squares are supplemented by color-mixed squares created through the twill and herringbone weave. Qashghai work. The offset could be eliminated by cutting and re-arranging the basic segments. Shorter, but very neat. Originally a wide band approximately 26–27 feet long, suitable as a bedspread, cover, or source for pillows.
