Vintage Turkish Anatolian Carpet

The well-abrashed brown field supports a three by four array of rounded octagonal guls in sand, straw and brown, with stepped hexagonal secondary devices between.  Very narrow border, almost negligible. These large, medium-coarse weave carpets with bold single or multipole medallions, with much use of brown and a general earth-tone character are a relatively recent innovation. Good condition.
