Vintage Turkish Anatolian Gallery Rug

A wool pile of symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. Clearly reflecting its Caucasian ancestry, this wide kellegi (long rug) features a well-abrashed coral subfield displaying three boldly fringed hexagons with old gold centers. The slate field narrows along the sides, with stars at the corners. A light moss green border showcases a partially serrated trapezoidal meander. Inner old gold and red minor borders both display rosettes.
