A vintage Turkish Anatolian Kilim. This is a classic Zarand kilim woven in Persia south of the Caspian Sea. The soft red field displays palmettes while the ivory border shows hooked lozenges in the Caucasian style. The technique is slit tapestry, woolen wefts, natural dyes and a medium weave.
