A wool pile of symmetric knots on a cotton foundation. This pile carpet is executed in a modified kilim style. The well-abrashed pale dusty-rose to warm-greige field features a large, flattened central medallion flanked by smaller related devices in ivory, cream, taupe, soft brown, pale blue, muted turquoise, and faint coral-orange, all with hooked outlines and hooked central lozenges. Smaller hooked hexagons and diamonds appear along the sides of the field. The deep taupe-brown to chocolate-brown main border displays tall lozenges and geometric, symmetrical floral forms in ivory, pale blue, cream, and soft brown, meeting both the field and outer surround in kilim-style rows of square joins. The plain outer border is strongly abrashed in darker taupe-brown in one area.
