A wool pile of symmetric knots on a wool foundation. Perhaps originally woven as a yastik, or cushion cover, this village creation depicts two confronting brown lions with ivory, human-like faces, zigzag manes, and striped forelegs on an abrashed brown ground. Pale pink and charcoal accents enliven the figures. The buff and taupe border displays chains of connected squares along the sides and striped squares enclosing X-motifs at the ends, with accents in ivory, brown, charcoal, pale pink, and muted blue.
