Vintage Turkish Anatolian Runner

A wool pile of symmetric knots on a wool foundation. The pale ecru-to-beige field is almost entirely covered with truncated ashik medallions in coral, salmon, pink, goldenrod, mustard, straw, taupe, and dark brown, all outlined in light blue-gray. Paired half-medallions provide additional variation throughout the composition. The camel-gold main border displays a flattened television-wave meander with conforming fillers in ecru, pink, coral, and pale blue-gray. An exceptionally bright and cheerful piece.
