Vintage Turkish Anatolian Runner

A wool pile of symmetric knots on a wool foundation. The pale sand-to-warm-ivory field is executed in the Jaf Kurd style, with a dense arrangement of diamonds in muted blue-grey, sage-grey, taupe, and soft brown, each enclosing a cruciform motif. The border features reversing triangles arranged in a faded blue-grey and taupe zigzag pattern. Portions of the knotting are offset, another characteristic associated with Jaf Kurdish weaving.
