Vintage Turkish Anatolian Runner

A wool pile of symmetric knots on a wool foundation. The faded beige-to-light-brown field is nearly covered by five offset columns of hooked diamonds in the Jaf Kurd manner, rendered in coral-red, rust, tangerine-orange, salmon, dusty rose, magenta, golden yellow, olive green, taupe, and ivory. The heavily abrashed red-and-coral main border features flattened octagons in ivory, tan, green, and brown. Broad, striped, weft-faced plainweave finishing bands in coral-red, rust, and dark brown appear at each end.
