Vintage Turkish Flatweave

The weaver was not too exacting in either her technique or choice of materials, the bands wavering, thickening, or thinning, while the colors mix browns, blues and ecru with rhymer or reason. But the result is quite clever and there is nothing fixed, formulaic, or preplanned. The three sections are probably from the 1950’s or 60’s, but the look is right up to date. Adjustable size.
