Vintage Turkish Tulu Rug

Three complete and one half nested blue lozenges are linked to form a pole medallion. The red, yellow, and dark blue used to design the pole medallion are utilized again with a touch of green to form an appropriate frame for this Turkish rug. The high-quality angora wool pile is long with a coarse weave, soft handle, and silk-like appeal. Tulu rugs are a relatively recent creation, none seeming to predate the turn of the 20^th century.
