Vintage Turkish Anatolian Pictorial Rug (Pair: 1 of 2)

A wool pile of symmetric knots on a wool foundation. A visual pair to rug # 33437. The gray-beige to taupe field displays two confronting medium-brown deer. A square radiating blossom motif appears between them, while paired green birds flank small trees above each animal. Additional polychrome birds and floral motifs enliven the upper center of the field. The narrow main border features a two-tone dark brown-and-ecru chessboard pattern. Originally woven as a small yastik, or cushion cover.
